I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who provides compassionate, evidence-based care for adults navigating anxiety, depression, mood changes, stress, trauma-related symptoms, and life transitions. My background includes experience in psychiatric and medical settings, which allows me to look at mental health from both a clinical and whole-person perspective.
I believe that mental health care should feel collaborative and supportive, not overwhelming. My goal is to help you feel understood while creating a treatment plan that fits your life and your goals. Whether you are seeking medication management, therapy support, or guidance through a difficult season, I strive to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and empowered.
good listener , kind , open mind
I have 6 years of experience in mental health with focus on addiction medicine in patient and out patient , mental health stabilization in patient
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in adult and geriatric care (65+), I provide comprehensive treatment for ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, OCD, personality disorders, PTSD and trauma, schizophrenia and psychosis disorders, substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, mood disorders, and bipolar conditions. My practice recognizes that mental health needs evolve throughout different stages of adult life.
I'm particularly skilled at helping adults who are discovering mental health conditions they've lived with for years without knowing it, as well as older adults facing the intersection of mental health and aging. Many of my patients are surprised to learn that their lifelong struggles with focus, social situations, or emotional regulation have names and effective treatments available.
My treatment approach is built on respect, patience, and understanding. I know that starting mental health treatment as an adult or older adult can feel intimidating, especially if you've had negative experiences with healthcare in the past. I work to create a comfortable environment where you can share your experiences openly without fear of judgment.
I believe in practical, realistic treatment plans that fit into your actual life. Whether you're working full-time, caring for family members, managing health conditions, or navigating retirement, we'll develop strategies that work for your specific situation. My goal is to help you feel more confident, capable, and satisfied with your daily life while managing any symptoms that interfere with your well-being.
It's never too late to seek support and improve your quality of life. Healing is possible at every age. I'm experienced in medication management for older adults and understand the unique considerations that come with aging and multiple health conditions.

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I have been granted the invaluable opportunity to assist those seeking understanding and relief from their anxiety, depression, psychosis, and fragile self-regard. With over 20 years of clinical experience, I’ve developed a deep, sincere compassion for each client’s unique journey. My approach centers on empowering individuals toward recovery, self-agency, and holistic well-being.
I am a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist specializing in psychiatric medication management, integrative psychotherapy, and intramuscular ketamine therapy with integration support.
I was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia, and at 8 years old, my family immigrated to Germany to escape the war that unfolded in the early 1990s. A few years later, we moved again, settling in California, where I have now lived for 27 years.
Experiencing displacement, cultural shifts, and the challenge of rebuilding life twice over shaped the way I see the world. It deepened my understanding of human resilience, the weight of trauma, and the quiet strength that carries people forward. I have known loss and uncertainty, but also the beauty of adaptation, the power of connection, and the ability to find meaning even in hardship.
As a Nurse Practitioner, I believe healthcare should be a partnership, not a prescription. My approach combines advanced clinical skills with a deep commitment to patient advocacy, ensuring every individual has the tools and confidence to take charge of their health. I specialize in creating personalized treatment plans that honor the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. Whether I’m diagnosing, prescribing, or simply listening, my mission is to make every patient feel seen, heard, and cared for. I strive to turn sessions into moments of trust, learning, and hope."
I am board certified in Family Practice as well as Psychiatry and have been in practice for 25 year. I work with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, bipolar disorder, as well as address physical symptoms or issues that may affect mental health. I hold a Doctorate degree in education and Master Degrees in Advance Practice Nursing and education.
