I'm Astghik Zakevosyan, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) specializing in trauma recovery, relationship healing, and culturally-sensitive care. With over 10 years of experience in detox programs, family services, and neurodiverse-affirming therapy, I bring both expertise and deep compassion to my practice. Certified in Trauma-Focused CBT, I help clients overcome PTSD, anxiety, and generational wounds - particularly in the different type of communities (specially Armenian-American) where I bridge cultural gaps with professional insight.
What makes my approach unique? I'm not just bilingual (Armenian/English) - I'm bicultural. This means I truly understand the unspoken pressures of immigrant families, the stigma around mental health in our communities, and how to heal while honoring your roots. Whether you're an overwhelmed parent, a couple in crisis, or someone carrying childhood trauma, I create a judgment-free zone where transformation begins.
I have a Master of Counseling Degree and am a Bilingual/Spanish-speaking Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have over 20 years of experience providing individual, child, and family counseling services, including to our military families. I am well-versed in treating childhood issues, mild Autism, anxiety, adjustment difficulties/Life changes, anger management issues, depression, parent-child relations issues, school issues, and relationship issues in children, preteen to adults.
