I am open minded and warm. Easy to talk to. And I have been doing this for over 15 years.
Seeking therapy or mental health counseling is a brave and arduous step in your healing journey. My goal is to make it as soothing and comforting as possible through a person-centered and trauma-informed approach. I am a licensed creative arts therapist, trained in utilizing the visual arts to assist in the therapeutic process with a Master’s degree in Creativity Development and Creative Arts Therapy from Pratt Institute. I am now offering Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, providing healing and support through the process of using ketamine as an enhancement to the therapeutic treatment.
My motto is: "Helping People Help Themselves to a Better Life. I support people with a smile and a reassuring description of my skills and abilities. I reinforce my respect for their choices as we engage in therapy together. I work to create a safe space for clients to address their issues.
I am a dedicated and compassionate collaborator committed to helping you navigate life's challenges. My approach is warm, non-judgmental, and deeply empathetic. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by trauma, grief, or the daily stresses of life, I’m here to support and empower you.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 10 years of mental health care experience. I received my master’s degree from the City College of New York, CUNY and began my career and training in evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness.
Using my extensive training in these practices, I work with individuals, couples, and families to help them connect how their past experiences play a role in their current feelings, behaviors, interactions, and relationships.
I have expertise in treating depression, anxiety, attention disorders, panic disorder, and other conditions such as insomnia. I am vested in building stronger coping skills and working alongside clients to help achieve their goals.
My approach is one that is centered on growth and not perfection. My specialties are helping clients with issues related to trauma, anxiety, bereavement/ grief, and major life changes. My clients are of various ages and backgrounds. I have formal training in EMDR, CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, and Play Therapy. I am also a Certified School Social Worker in New York City where I utilize Restorative Justice techniques with a clinical focus with adolescents.
I understand how challenging it can be to develop a trusting relationship with a new therapist. I am extremely patient with my clients and put in a great deal of effort in building a comfortable working relationship while supporting your personal growth and mental health resiliency. My practice provides a warm and friendly space for children (age 6-12), adolescents (12-17), and adults (18+) to address a wide variety of issues, ranging from LGBTQ issues, depression, anxiety, and trauma to those struggling with relationship challenges and adjustment difficulties.
My clients are often seeking short-term evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to help address their present day difficulties so that they can live a life that is meaningful and rewarding.
