I graduated from Lehigh University with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. I provide individual psychotherapy sessions to adults (ages 24+) to address a range of issues. These include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship issues.
I am a licensed professional counselor who has experience in working with families, adults, and couples.
I have a background in family therapy. I have studied Family, Marriage, and Couples counseling in my masters program. The history of my work is with families. I have worked in a family based therapy treatment model. My work is not only with families, I have extensive background in working with individuals; my work with families is helpful in providing individual therapy work as we explore family systems and family dynamics within individual therapy. After working in community mental health for almost 10 years, I now have worked in private practice for almost 5 years.
For right now I am only taking individual clients. I am best positioned to serve clients struggling with ADHD, anxiety, and postpartum struggles.
I strongly believe that everyone deserves to feel validated and to have their story truly heard. I understand—both personally and professionally—how essential it is to have a safe space where you are taken seriously in order to create meaningful movement and change in your life. I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, working with individuals and families in both therapeutic and life coaching settings. Throughout my career, I’ve supported clients of diverse ages, backgrounds, and diagnoses, and I bring that depth of experience into every session.
Welcome to my profile. I'm a clinical social worker licensed in Maryland and Pennsylvania. I also have a PhD in psychology, a clinical trauma certification, and am a 200-hr trained yoga instructor. My passion in life is to learn and understand things so that I can pass it on to others in a practical way to help improve lives and relationships.
My doctoral dissertation focused on mindfulness and adult romantic partner conflict. As a military spouse myself, I am uniquely positioned to support military partners and spouses through relationship challenges. Additionally, I particularly enjoy to support healing professionals including therapists, nurses, reiki teachers, and massage therapists.
I have 30+ years as an experienced counselor in a variety of settings. I have worked over the years in home, school, community, residential, hospital and outpatient settings. My therapy is based on an Adlerian approach as well as advanced trainings in Bipolar, DBT, and nutrition and mental health, strength-based therapy, and relationship dynamics. I love to use visualization techniques as well as incorporate current research solutions, workbooks, and training materials into my current practice.
