At my core, I am a humanist, existentialist, and a proponent of unconditional self-compassion. I have a strong skill set working with older teens and young adults but love working with all humans in general. Other therapeutic areas of strength would be trauma, personality disorders, gender and sexuality, parenting, relationships, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder and ADHD.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is dedicated to empowering children and families develop skills to cope with difficulties in life. My background is in working with children and young adults with Autism, school-aged children and their families support navigating times of stress, conflict, anger, anxiety and grief. I also have experience working with older adults. I have worked in schools, community-based agencies and residential programs.
I studied at Susquehanna University for my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and graduated in 2015. I then attended University of Pittsburgh for my Masters in Social Work program which I graduated in 2017. What qualifies me for this role is my empathic therapeutic approach with clients. I've worked in Private practice, case management at a non-profit organization and with kids and adults with varying diagnoses like anxiety, depression, ADHD and OCD. I prefer working with new moms and parents in general. I also have an ADHD certification and work with adults with ADHD. I only see clients ages 18+ at this time.
I’m a counselor with 18 years of experience working with people of all ages, including children, teens, adults, and older adults. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating ADHD, anxiety, grief, trauma and PTSD, career challenges, school issues, self-esteem, and major life transitions. Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of their next step, and they’re looking for a place where they can finally feel understood.
My style is often described as authentic, intelligent, and inspiring. I’ve worked in many different mental health settings including schools, inpatient and outpatient programs, juvenile detention, universities, prisons, and private practice. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of how people’s needs change throughout life.
My goal is to meet you where you are and help you build the tools you need to move forward with more confidence and peace.
